To add a bit more to the review about Russia, they are hard core black tea drinkers and as the new Russian market is emerging after the communist regime, the names of the gardens and other exclusivity is spreading very fast.
I have my share of living there for the past 18years and would say that Russians are elborate and loud in decorating .Samovars have a special place in their hearts though it is being relaced by electric kettles for convenience in cities..

Love the specific details. Came upon the site looking for a good recipe for Russian Tea. I have had an "instant" kind of Russian tea on a camp out, and have tried Peet's Russian Caravan Tea. But I do like the idea of something authentic. Probably something like Peet's tea flavored with real oranges and spices. In any case, my other connection is reading Dostoevsky, and seeing how prominent the samovar was in his novels. I look forward to the next post in the series.
